3M 100 Micron Sharpening Film is the coarsest grade in the range, ideal for initial sharpening and tackling heavier wear on chisels and plane blades.

Achieve a sharp, clean cutting edge on your chisels and plane blades with 3M Sharpening Film. This adhesive-backed abrasive film mounts onto a glass plate to create a flat sharpening surface for your woodworking tools.

Whether you’re refining a bevel or putting the finishing touches on an edge, choose the micron grade that suits your sharpening process. Work progressively through finer grades to remove scratches left by the previous abrasive and refine the cutting edge.

Simple to fit and replace

Cut the film to fit your glass plate, peel away the backing and apply it to a clean surface. When the abrasive wears out, replace the film and keep using the same plate.
