Damn
Damn, love it. Don’t know if it will ever be used, it’s just perfect. It’s up on my mantle. Looks great there.

A real piece of history! The gently curved face is a masterpiece of engineering while the feel of the mallet in my hand is nothing short of a miracle of attention to detail. It is so comfortable that it falls away into a seamless blending of body and tool.

Well designed and allows you to get your miters dialed in quickly. I noticed an immediate improvement in my mitered dovetails. Definitely recommend.

A Functional Work of Art: Outstanding Balance and Craftsmanship
This is definitely a luxury item, but after doing a bit of chiseling with it, I can say it feels fantastic in the hand. The balance is outstanding, making every strike feel controlled and effortless. I especially love the way the mallet stands upright and seems to be waiting for you to pick it up—it’s both practical and visually appealing.
The leadwood and olive wood combination is beautiful, giving the mallet a unique character and premium appearance. The craftsmanship and finish are top-notch, with great attention to detail throughout. Everything about it feels thoughtfully designed and expertly made.
Beyond its performance, it's also a piece that you’ll be proud to have in your workshop. It works as a tool, but it also feels like a functional work of art. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with it and would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates quality woodworking tools.

So worth it!
I purchased the plans online and used some spare cherry I had to complete the project.
Having the plans and the detailed step-by-step online course made this project very approachable for a hobbyist, and I learned a lot of skills along the way that I will use in other projects in the future.
I appreciated the way Matt suggested multiple options for completing some of the steps which made the project more approachable. I had to make a few compromises with available tools (I only had a Stanley 78 rebate plane without the fence that I had to use like a shoulder plane), and I used the KM dovetail jig to overcome the quality of my saw/sawing, and the Cosman offset method for cutting the pins. I do have a Veritas low-angle jack plane that I used for all the dimensioning and shooting, which worked amazingly.
