Join Matt for a day at his Newbury workshop and learn every step involved in marking, cutting, and fitting dovetails. With only five participants per class, you'll benefit from one-on-one guidance whilst learning alongside likeminded individuals. If you're looking to hone your woodworking skills and fancy a trip to Matt’s workshop, this is your chance!

This course is aimed at beginners with little to no experience cutting dovetails. But if you're wondering if this course is for you, please feel free to contact Rob who can answer any questions you may have.

  • The Workshop is located at Studland Industrial Estate in Newbury UK. 
  • Parking is available on-site.
  • Tea, coffee, and snacks are available at all times but we ask you bring a packed lunch.
  • The course runs from approximately 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Can’t recommend this course enough! A great day that was packed full of learning and advice whilst feeling relaxed and welcoming. Matt is as good a host as he is a teacher and I came away with lots of things that will transfer to other joinery I’m sure.
Shout out to Rob too for showing some of the cool laser cutting process and complimenting the relaxed vibe of the day.
Can’t wait to do another course as they appear!

Honestly one of the best days tutorials...

Honestly one of the best days tutorials I have ever had. Matt was open, friendly and willing to share his expertise and not just on dovetails. The tools and materials were very high quality and the tea and coffee flowed. I would happily recommend, and in fact already have!
