3M Fine Sharpening Film Pack

Refine, hone and polish your chisels and plane blades with the 3M Fine Sharpening Film Pack. Featuring one sheet each of 15, 9, 3 and 1 micron abrasive film, this pack provides a progressive sequence for the finer stages of sharpening.

Begin with a coarser waterstone, diamond stone or the 3M Coarse Sharpening Film Pack to establish your bevel and remove damage. Once that initial sharpening is complete, move onto the Fine Pack to refine the surface and finish the cutting edge.

Work through 15, 9 and 3 micron before finishing with 1 micron. Each finer grade helps remove scratches left by the previous abrasive, developing a smoother bevel and a refined cutting edge.

Four grades, one practical pack

Each sheet is adhesive-backed for mounting onto a clean glass sharpening plate. Cut the film to your preferred working size, peel away the backing and apply.

Included in the pack:

• 15 micron: begin refining the bevel after coarse sharpening.
• 9 micron: reduce scratches and develop a finer finish.
• 3 micron (Pink): hone the edge and smooth the bevel further.
• 1 micron (Yellow): finish with fine honing and polishing.

Ideal for the finishing stages of a glass-plate “scary sharp” sharpening system.
