Dead Flat Glass Sharpening Plate (Large)

Create a flat working surface for sharpening your chisels and plane blades with Dead Flat Glass. These 10mm-thick float glass plates provide a reusable base for adhesive-backed sharpening film, making it easy to build your own “scary sharp” sharpening system.

Apply your chosen film to a clean plate, then work through progressively finer micron grades to sharpen, hone and polish your tools. When the abrasive wears out, replace the film and keep using the same glass.

The larger plate gives you room to arrange several grades together and move between them during sharpening.
