Creating protrusion stops can present a complex task. Despite their seemingly straightforward nature, achieving precision requires meticulous measurements to correctly align the blade.

Our solution is a stop that places the honing guide in the perfect position every time. Whether that's at 25 or 30 degrees for your chisels or plane blades. Furthermore, it's conveniently compact and lightweight, finding a perfect place in your toolbox.

 

The prototype is made from a black PLA, carbon fibre reinforced plastic, printed in the workshop!

A simple jig but it’s really effective

Yes it is a very simple jig but it’s really effective. The Veritas jig is a template you print out and attach to a piece of wood which works but I like that this jig is the right height for the sharpening guide. It makes it so much easier to correctly set the guide up and I found my sharpening results were far better with less effort. It would be fantastic if Lee Valley would pick this up in Canada

Love it. Makes putting a bevel on my plane blade and chisels near effortless.
