Why we Worked with Them
X-Tool were working with a number of content creators in the lead up to working with us, and with the Nerf Gun idea on the cards, this seemed like a perfect collaboration. Before we took the deal, we reconciled the opinions of those doing paid collaborations with a bunch of other reviews that were unpaid, and the overall consensus was a positive one. So we gave them a go!
Long Term Opinions
By this point, our machine is rarely turned off! 90% of the time, it’s cutting foam and cardboard on repeat for us to make custom packaging and inserts for our Marking Knives, Mallets and Frame Clamping system. The other 10% of the time, it’s used for components, templates and jigs.
The only drawback we’ve found thus far is the pass through feature with the feed rollers isn’t 100% accurate when cutting. This happened in the Coffee Table video sponsored by Freud where some minor distortion on my templates became apparent. However to be fair, we were probably asking too much of the machine because that’s exactly why machines with larger beds exist. That said, for engraving and scoring graphics over large surfaces where millimeter accuracy isn’t required, the pass through feature is still great, as is the rest of the machine
