A beautiful handmade toolbox designed and constructed by myself in early 2021. Do you need this? Absolutely not. Will your spouse approve of you purchasing it? Probably not. Will it be a gorgeous home for your collection of tools? I like to think so.
This piece includes hand cut mitred dovetails, a veneered solid wood lid panel, a tongue and groove base, an internal tray, and finally solid brass hinges made in the USA, allowing the lid to automatically stop just past 90 degrees.
Please note that while I strive for perfection in my work, this toolbox is entirely handmade and will inevitably include ‘human errors' here and there. Similarly, while seasonal movement of wood has been accounted for, the fit of the internal tray is liable to change throughout the year as well as the shadow gaps surrounding the lid panel.
Upon purchase, your toolbox will be summoned forth to the packing table, offered a beverage of some kind, covered in hessian for warmth and protection, lowered into an OSB crate, surrounded with biodegradable packing peanuts, then be sealed in its OSB sarcophagus until it arrives at your doorstep a few weeks later. This entire journey will be tracked and insured for peace of mind.
On another note, if you'd like to learn how to make this toolbox yourself, you can do so here.
