  • Ah, hinges, my worst nightmare! 🙂

    Dear Matt,
thank you so much for demonstrating and educating us in this and many more difficult tasks! Recently, I have finished my own small cabinet which I’m happy to use every day. It is my very first piece of real furniture. See it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5PIp7c4iN8
It is all done by hand and without any help of power tools – yes, even the sack holes were drilled by hand. The wood is larch from scrap terrace planks and all joints are wooden with no screws or nails. There was also no sanding, just plaining (exception: the door handle which I recycled from another old cabinet). The finish is plain linseed oil.
In the end of making it, I almost messed it all up by completely failing in hinging the door to the caucus…

Thanks again, Matt and Rob for all your work, teaching and inspiration, be it good or bad days 😉 Please continue with it!
    Best regards!
    Sebastian
