In this video, I show you how to mark out and cut an angled dovetail perfectly. It is strongly recommended you watch my video on How to Cut a Dovetail Joint by Hand before watching this video!
Cutting Advanced Woodworking Joints by Hand
This course teaches people how to cut woodworking joints using hand tools only. We cover fundamental techniques such as:
- Preparing timber
- Layout of assembly lines
- Marking out joinery
- Cutting accurately with a saw
- Refining back to marking lines with a chisel
- Adjusting joints where required
- Assembling, gluing and cleaning up joints effectively.
This is the third of three difficulty tiers with hand cut joinery. All instructions are provided step-by-step and downloads/printouts are also available to take to the workshop with you.
If you cannot get your hand cut joinery up to standard, this is the course for you.
In this lesson I teach you how to make one of the most essential joints in woodworking, the mitred dovetail.
